In a bid to explore ways to maximize the potential of its multi-million naira sports infrastructure, the Pro-Chancellor of Greenfield University, Chief (Engr) Simon Nwakacha, has called on the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna State Chapter to partner with the institution. This remark was made during a familiarization visit by SWAN executives to the university’s makeshift campus in Kudenden, Kaduna State.
Chief Nwakacha, acknowledging the current challenges faced by businesses, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “I’m glad you’re here, and Greenfield University is happy to partner with you to explore ways to utilize the sporting infrastructure in the university.” He emphasized the importance of working together to overcome the present difficulties.
The SWAN Chairman, Shehu Abdullahi, led the delegation and praised Chief Nwakacha’s unwavering commitment to sports development in Kaduna State. “What we see on the ground, and from a private facility, demonstrates vision and commitment,” Abdullahi stated.
He solicited cooperation and partnership to elevate the sports in Kaduna State, particularly as the SWAN chapter prepares for the 2024 SWAN Week.
The visit’s highlight included a tour of the university’s world-class physiotherapy gym and sports facilities. The SWAN executives were impressed by the infrastructure and acknowledged the potential for collaboration.
Greenfield University’s sports infrastructure, which worth millions of naira, offers a unique opportunity for partnership and growth.
By working together, SWAN and the university can harness the facilities’ potential, promoting sports development and contributing to the sector’s advancement.
As preparations for the 2024 SWAN Week intensify, this partnership offers a promising avenue for growth and development. By leveraging Greenfield University’s sports infrastructure, SWAN can enhance its initiatives and contribute meaningfully to the sports sector.
