Kaduna, Nigeria – Governor Uba Sani has commended the officials of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for their hard work and dedication in ensuring the success of the 2024 Hajj. The Governor’s commendation was conveyed by the Amirul Hajj, Engr Suleiman Umar, the Emir of Lere, during a farewell message to the last batch of Kaduna State pilgrims at the Mando Hajj camp on Monday.
According to Engr Suleiman Umar, Governor Sani thanked the Agency for securing decent accommodations for the pilgrims at a reasonable cost, a feat that has been emulated by other states. The Agency also collaborated with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to provide good catering services for the pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
Engr Suleiman Umar reminded the pilgrims that Hajj is an act of worship that must be performed according to Islamic injunctions. He urged them to seek guidance from preachers and Hajj officials and to ask questions if they were unsure about any aspect of the pilgrimage.
The Executive Chairman of Kaduna State Pilgrims Agency, Malam Salihu S Abubakar, expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his support and for giving them the autonomy to perform their duties. He also commended the pilgrims, the airline, and agency officials for adhering to the schedule throughout the Hajj airlift, resulting in all aircraft departing for the Holy Land fully loaded.
Air Vice Marshall Mohammed Dabo (rtd), a member of the board, praised the media for their effective coverage and the personnel of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Customs officials, and officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for their prompt screening of intending pilgrims.
The successful preparation and execution of the 2024 Hajj is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, and Governor Uba Sani’s commendation is a well-deserved recognition of their efforts.
