KADIRS Impresses House Committee with 2025 Budget Defense Presentation


The Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Comrade Jerry Adams, was ably represented by the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Dr. Muhammad Lawal, during the 2025 budget defense session held at the Kaduna State House of Assembly Complex.

During the session, Dr. Lawal delivered a comprehensive and well-prepared presentation of the proposed budget on behalf of the Executive Chairman. The detailed breakdown of the budget and its alignment with the Service’s objectives left a positive impression on the Honourable Members of the House Committee on Finance. Following the presentation, the committee members openly commended KADIRS for its exceptional performance in revenue generation thus far, which has significantly contributed to the financial stability of Kaduna State.

In addition to applauding KADIRS’ revenue generation efforts, the committee members lauded the Service for its transparent and inclusive approach to governance. A notable aspect highlighted was the Service’s consistent and open engagement with civil society organisations (CSOs) in its operations. This commendation followed a report presented by the Open Government Partnership (OGP), which oversees civil society organisations, emphasizing the strong and effective collaboration between KADIRS and the OGP. The committee urged the Service to maintain and strengthen this fruitful relationship, noting its importance in fostering trust and accountability within the state.

At the conclusion of the session, the House Committee on Finance commended the KADIRS delegation for their outstanding efforts and invited them to take a bow and leave, signifying their satisfaction with the budget defense.
