Alhaji Lawal Jibril (San Turakin Bomo), a member of the Board of Directors of Arewa Vision Television, has stated that the TV station will be an "eye-opener" for the common man regarding human rights abuses.
He made this statement while appreciating the efforts put in place by the management of the newly inaugurated Arewa Vision Television in Zaria.
Jibril called on the people to make use of the Television for the purpose of the progress of the entire people of the northern region.
According to him, having Arewa Vision Television at this time will reduce crime rates resulting from drug addiction among our teeming youths.
The Director said the Television will serve for Agriculture, Human Rights activities, Science and Technology, religious activities, as well as entertainment programs.
He hoped that people in Zaria and the north will utilize the benefits of the station, being the first human rights TV station in the entire north.
San Turakin Bomo appealed to the benefiting community to be stakeholders by ensuring that no unlawful program is televised on the station.
