Kano Guidance and Counseling Board Praises New Police Recruits Zakari Haruna Isah Honourable Abdulhakeem Kamilu Ado, the Member representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency of Kano State in the National Assembly, has urged newly commissioned police recruits to maintain integrity and truthfulness in their duties. He made the remark in an interview shortly after the passing out ceremony for the recruits at the Kaduna Police College. He highlighted the vital role of the police in safeguarding lives and property, especially given Nigeria's ongoing security issues. "I encourage them to stay honest, particularly as the nation faces insecurity. With the recent law passed, they will be assigned to their local communities to serve, which is commendable," he remarked. Hon. Ado expressed pride in the participation of recruits from his constituency, highlighting the presence of 16 recruits from Wudil and 14 from Karko. "It gives me immense joy to see individuals from our communities completing this rigorous six-month training. Their contribution will significantly boost security in our region," he noted, stressing his commitment to supporting their efforts. |
The lawmaker also encouraged the youths to pursue vocational skills to become valuable members of society. He urged them to avoid negative influences that could jeopardize their futures, pledging to continue backing skill acquisition programs. "I congratulate those who have graduated today and assure others of my ongoing support in creating a brighter future," he stated.
Hon. Ado reiterated his commitment to empowering the youth in his constituency, mentioning that he has provided over one hundred scholarships to deserving students. He reiterated the significance of education and skill development in equipping young people for a prosperous future.
The legislator's visit highlighted his dedication to initiatives that improve security and foster community development, showing his support for the newly trained recruits and his constituents.
Ado Muhammed Danjummai Wudil, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Guidance and Counseling Board, also spoke to the new police recruits at the event. Representing the Kano State Governor, he encouraged the recruits to maintain professionalism and integrity in their roles.
He reminded the young officers to act as positive representatives of Kano State wherever they are assigned, stressing the significance of upholding the state's dignity and respect. "As you embark on this important journey, keep in mind that you embody the hopes and expectations of Kano State. Strive to be exemplary in your actions," he stated.
