KSMC NUJ Chapel Appreciates State Council Over Appointment of Iliyasu Suleiman as Ex-Officio







The Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed its profound gratitude to the Kaduna State Council of the NUJ for the appointment of Iliyasu Suleiman, former KSMC Chapel Chairman and NUJ Chairmanship Aspirant in the just concluded council election, as an Ex-Officio.

The appointment letter was formally presented to him during the KSMC Chapel congress by the State Council Chairman, Alhaji Abdul-Gafar Alabelewe.

Speaking shortly after, Alhaji Abdul-Gafar said the appointment of Iliyasu Suleiman was in consideration of his immense contribution to the development of the union at both state and chapel levels. He said, “this is in fulfillment of our campaign promises to carry KSMC along as well as others in our quest to build an all inclusive leadership”. 

Alabelewe "acknowledged Iliyasu Suleiman's dedication and commitment to the union's cause, and expressed confidence that he would continue to serve as a valuable asset to the State Council.”

In a statement signed by the KSMC Chapel Chairman, Zakari Haruna Isah, commended the Council Chairman for this kind gesture. The statement further reiterated the Chapel's commitment to supporting and actively participating in all union activities across Kaduna State.

Iliyasu Suleiman, was a respected and active member of the KSMC NUJ Chapel, previously served as the Chapel Chairman was also celebrated as KSMC hero for contesting on the KSMC platform during the last state council election.

The Chapel believes this appointment will further strengthen the bond between the Chapel and the State Council, fostering a more collaborative and productive working relationship.
