As part of a move aimed at bolstering grassroots political engagement, mobilization, and strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kudan LGA in Kaduna State, party stakeholders led by Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi commissioned 10 new APC ward offices across the Local Government Area.
The event, held with fanfare and attended by party faithful, marked a major step in reinforcing the party’s presence at the local level.
Speaking during the commissioning and while receiving decampees, Senator Hunkuyi lauded the collective effort of party stakeholders and emphasized the strategic importance of grassroots mobilization in shaping responsive and effective governance.
He said, “This is not just about opening offices; it’s about deepening democracy and giving voice to the people at the community level.”
Senator Hunkuyi stressed that one of the key motivations behind establishing the 10 new APC ward offices was to bring the party closer to the people. He noted that political engagement and meaningful governance must begin at the grassroots, where citizens can directly connect with their representatives and participate in shaping policies that affect their daily lives.

He added, “This effort aligns with the broader vision of Governor Uba Sani, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose leadership continues to empower grassroots structures and foster inclusive development nationwide.”
The Senator explained that the initiative is part of a strategy to ensure the APC remains active within communities beyond election periods. By providing functional ward offices across Kudan LGA, he emphasized that “the party aims to create platforms where constituents can express their concerns, access support, and contribute to local and national discourse.”
He further reiterated that this grassroots approach is essential for strengthening democratic processes, promoting transparency, and enhancing trust between the government and the people. According to him, the new offices will serve as vital links in the communication chain between party leadership and citizens, ultimately leading to more responsive and accountable governance.
The event was further highlighted by the defection of several key figures from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, including the Kudan Local Government Youth Leader and Public Relations Officer of the PDP, who pledged allegiance to the APC.
The newly opened offices are expected to serve as hubs for political coordination, citizen engagement, and policy advocacy, reinforcing the APC’s commitment to inclusive governance and grassroots empowerment.
As the APC in Kudan LGA consolidated its structures across the area, party members and leaders offered prayers for continued success and unity, reaffirming their commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria under the leadership of President Tinubu.
