Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of Amina Yakubu, a student of Yobe State University, who lost her life in a fatal traffic accident.
In a statement issued by the Director General of Press and Media Affairs, Governor Buni extended his heartfelt condolences to the parents, friends, and relatives of the late student, describing the incident as a painful and heartbreaking loss.
"My heartfelt condolences also go to the Vice Chancellor, staff, students, and the entire university community over the loss of this young, promising student," the Governor stated. "As believers, we trust in the divine will of Allah, who gives life and takes it when He wills."
Governor Buni prayed for the repose of Amina's soul in Aljannah Firdaus and asked Allah to grant her family the strength to bear the loss. He also wished those injured in the accident a swift recovery and directed that all victims receive free medical treatment.
The Governor further urged motorists and road users to exercise caution, particularly during the rainy season, to prevent further tragedies.
