Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has praised the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Gwabin Musa, for his significant contributions to national security and peace-building.
The governor, represented by the Director General Interfaith, Tahir Umar Tahir, made the commendation at a recent award ceremony organized by the Muslim Unity for Communal Works Foundation (MUCWF)in Kaduna.
Governor Sani noted that Kaduna State has made remarkable progress against security threats thanks to the collaborative efforts of the military, government, and community leaders.
He emphasized the importance of continued partnership between government, security agencies, and faith-based groups to defeat criminals and ensure lasting peace.
The MUCWF honored the CDS to recognize his’ critical role in promoting national and community unity through various people-centered support projects.
Speaking on behalf of the CDS, the Makaman Tudun-Wada, Kaduna, Hadji Muhammad-Deeni Shehu Usman described General Musa as a patriot, bridge-builder, and a symbol of unity. He said the general’s efforts for peace are not abstract goals but “the daily hopes of every Nigerian family.”
While the CDS regretted his absence due to official duties, he expressed gratitude for the award and pledged his continued commitment to pursuing peace in Kaduna State and across Nigeria.
Earlier, Malam Aliyu Abdullahi Goro, Chairman of the MUCWF, praised General Musa as a man of “vision, courage, and integrity.” He called him a “distinguished professional whose humility, competence, compassion, and discipline make him a worthy ambassador of Kaduna State and Nigeria.”
Goro also commended Governor Sani for his efforts in socio-economic and educational development to communities and urged citizens to support the government.
