The Kada Warriors, Football Club , has been crowned champions of the NFF President NNL Preseason Tournament 2025 after a spectacular 4-1 victory over Tudun Wada United in a thrilling final at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Saturday.

The Kaduna-based side put on a masterclass of attacking football, lifting the trophy in a performance that capped an unbeaten run through the tournament, showcasing resilience, tactical discipline, and a prolific goalscoring touch.

From the outset, the Warriors asserted their authority. The deadlock was broken by the lively Nazim Amokachi, who set the tone for the afternoon. The lead was doubled before halftime, courtesy of an Own Goal forced by a menacing cross from the tournament's standout creator, Haruna Abubakar.

Any hopes of a Tudun Wada comeback were extinguished in the second half by a moment of pure brilliance, as Adoga Joshua connected with an audacious bicycle kick to make it 3-0. The victory was sealed in the 75th minute when Philemon Arthur, a key figure throughout the preseason, powered in a header from another pinpoint to 9Haruna Abubakar delivery.

The Warriors' path to the final was a testament to their character and quality. They began their Group Stage campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Zamfara United, with Muwafaq Sadiq scoring the crucial goal.

They continued their form with a commanding 4-1 dismantling of Eleven Stars, featuring a brace from Haruna Abubakar. Perhaps the most telling performance was their 2-1 comeback victory over Ahzuba FC, where second-half goals from Israel Williams and Debo Fashanu demonstrated their mental fortitude.

The knockout stages saw their momentum build. A 2-1 quarter-final victory over FC Kano, with goals from Muwafaq Sadiq and Abdulsalam Abdulsalam, showcased their ability to win hard-fought battles. This was followed by a statement-making 4-1 demolition of Kano Ambassadors in the semi-final.

A Winning Machine

By the end of the tournament, the statistics spoke for themselves. The team, masterminded by Coach Kwasau, recorded an impressive 6 straight wins in the tournament proper, scoring 13 goals and conceding only 5, a record that underscored their balanced strength and justified their status as deserving champions.

This preseason triumph sends a strong message to the Nigerian National League (NNL), marking Kada Warriors as a team to watch in the upcoming season.
