KADUNA ATTRACTS $20 MILLION AGRICULTURAL INVESTMENT

Kaduna State has secured a major private-sector investment with Saro Agro Sciences committing $20 million to develop 2,000 hectares for maize and soybean seed production, a move set to significantly boost local input availability and agricultural output.

Governor Senator Uba Sani, CON, described the investment as a transformative step toward building a technology-driven and competitive agricultural economy. "This initiative will directly enhance our farmers' access to high-quality inputs, increase productivity, and raise rural incomes," the Governor stated.

The investment strengthens Kaduna's position as a leading agribusiness hub, complementing existing institutions like the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) and the African Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC).

These facilities are designed to modernize agribusiness, expand export capabilities, and unlock new value chains across Northern Nigeria and the Sahel region.
