Intending pilgrims from Kaduna State will need to pay the sum of ₦7,696,769.76 for the 2026 Hajj exercise, the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency announced on Tuesday.
The fare, set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), comes with a tight payment schedule, requiring pilgrims to make a significant initial deposit to secure their slots.
According to a statement signed by the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti, prospective pilgrims must pay a non-refundable deposit of ₦2 million on or before November 14, 2025.
The agency has also set December 5, 2025, as the final deadline for the settlement of the full Hajj fare.
The Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, who confirmed the development, advised all intending pilgrims to adhere strictly to the payment deadlines to ensure a seamless registration process.
The announcement signals the official start of preparations for the 2026 pilgrimage, with the agency urging prospective pilgrims to begin their financial arrangements immediately.
The ₦7.69 million fare for the 2026 pilgrimage continues the recent trend of rising costs for the holy journey, reflecting broader economic pressures.
The agency has directed the public to make payments through its designated bank accounts and visit any of its offices across the state’s 23 Local Government Areas for further enquiries.
“The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency remains committed to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and well-coordinated Hajj exercise for all pilgrims,” the statement assured.
