— African Beach Soccer Boss Mahmud Hadejia Promises Blockbuster Eid Spectacle at Murtala Square as Seven Clubs Battle for Final Four Spots and Historic Continental Ticket

The second round of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) is scheduled to take place in Kaduna from Friday, May 29th through Sunday, May 31st. The three-day national tournament will hold at the beach soccer arena located within the Murtala Muhammed Square.
Speaking in an interview monitored ahead of the fixtures, Mahmud Hadejia, the National Coordinator of the NBSL and President of the African Beach Soccer Union, confirmed that the arrangements for the tournament are complete.
"This is the sixth year we are organizing this tournament format in Nigeria," Hadejia stated. "We have consistently received massive commendations from across Africa and international media for the structural evolution of the league.
Everything is moving flawlessly now, and we are simply waiting for the kickoff."
He said that the upcoming round coincides with a period of festivities, including the Sallah (Eid) celebrations, Children’s Day activities, and the third-anniversary celebrations of the Kaduna State Government’s current administration.
"With people on holiday for Sallah, it is a fantastic opportunity for the public to stream into the venue for top-tier entertainment," Hadejia observed. He noted that the league returned to Kaduna this year following an absence last season due to some constraints.
Hadejia praised the facility at Murtala Muhammed Square, rating it among the best in Africa. "We boast a world-class facility here that we proudly showcase globally.
Whenever a tournament is announced for Kaduna, there is widespread joy because Kaduna feels like home to all participating teams."
According to the ABSU President, the Kaduna fixtures represent the vital second round of the current NBSL season.
The competitive race commenced during Round One in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, where the local favorites and host, Kada Beach Soccer Club (Kada BSC), secured the top spot on the unified league standings with ten points.
“Seven elite clubs are currently competing in the league, featuring veteran national team players who have previously represented the Super Sand Eagles and played across European beach soccer leagues.”
Meanwhile, at the conclusion of the second round fixtures, the regular-season standings will be narrowed down, with the top four clubs qualifying for the decisive Super Four Finals. The winner of the Super Four will capture the national domestic crown and secure Nigeria's ticket to the upcoming inaugural African Beach Soccer Club Championship later this year.
To accommodate holiday spectators, the league management is organizing side-attractions featuring live performances from comedians, musicians, and various entertainment figures. For fans unable to attend the venue in person, organizers confirmed that matches will be broadcast live via the 'Beach Soccer Nigeria' official Facebook page.
The tournament will operate on a dual daily schedule, with morning sessions slated to begin at 7:00 AM and evening blocks kicking off at 3:30 PM.
