Ahmed Isa Dutse Unveils Development Agenda for Jigawa Central Senate Bid

Improved agriculture, expanded access to quality education and stronger healthcare services are among the key priorities outlined by Alhaji Ahmed Isa Dutse as he seeks to represent Jigawa Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Isa Dutse said his proposed agenda would focus on addressing challenges directly affecting constituents, particularly farmers, young people, rural communities and families facing difficulties accessing basic services.

He said agriculture would receive particular attention through efforts to improve farming practices and access to essential agricultural inputs, with the aim of strengthening livelihoods and supporting local economic activity.

On education, the ADC senatorial aspirant said he would advocate greater investment in quality education and improved learning opportunities, especially for communities in rural areas.

He also identified healthcare as another major priority, saying improved health infrastructure and services would help reduce the financial burden on families who depend heavily on private healthcare.

Dutse said effective representation should go beyond legislation to include consistent advocacy for the needs of constituents and engagement with relevant government institutions on development priorities.

He said his decision to contest the Jigawa Central seat was informed by what he described as the need for more responsive representation and a stronger focus on issues affecting ordinary residents.

The aspirant also criticised the performance of previous representation in the district, arguing that constituents should be able to assess elected officials based on tangible development outcomes.

Ahmed Isa Dutse further challenged the perception that Jigawa Central is permanently aligned with any particular political party, saying voters have the right to evaluate candidates and make their choices based on their programmes, records and commitment to public service.

He said his campaign would involve engagements with communities across the senatorial district to listen to constituents and present his plans for the area.

Dutse urged voters to scrutinise the various candidates contesting the election and consider their respective programmes and capacity to represent the interests of the people.

He expressed confidence that his proposed agenda would provide a platform for addressing key development concerns across Jigawa Central if entrusted with the mandate.
