State Commander NDLEA Katsina Command Muhammed Bashir Ibrahim disclosed this when he received members and officials of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Katsina State Chapter SWAN on a Courtesy Visit
The State Commander expressed the command appreciation over the visit as he described Journalists as partners in progress
Muhammed Bashir Ibrahim assured the readiness of the Command to participate fully in the forthcoming Security Peace and Unity Football Competition for Security Operatives by Katsina SWAN
The State Commander NDLEA charged the SWAN Members to be engaging teenagers and Youths in Sporting activities to avoid them from drug abuses and other social vices
The State Commander NDLEA use the visit to express dismay over the percentage of youths engaged in drugs abuse from the age of 12 to 40 in the state, stressing the need for stakeholders to come in to stop the menace
Katsina SWAN Chairman Nasir Sani Gide explained that their visit to the NDLEA Katsina Command was meant to introduce the officials and members of the Association and to intimate him on the Association's plans to organize security peace and Unity Football Competition in the state
