TEAM KADUNA SHINES WITH 7 MEDALS, INCLUDING 2 GOLD, AT BADMINTON FESTIVAL

In a thrilling showcase of badminton prowess, Team Kaduna emerged as the standout performers, clinching a total of 7 medals, including 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals at the recent Badminton Festival. This exciting event was hosted by the Association of Badminton Clubs in Nigeria (ABCIN) and took place at the City Gate Badminton Club Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Team Kaduna displayed remarkable prowess, with their female players shining in the Doubles category, securing 1 gold and 1 silver medal. They also displayed their skills in the Senior Men’s Doubles, earning a well-deserved bronze medal. 

However, their most outstanding achievement was in the 56+ age category, where they left their mark by securing gold, silver, and bronze medals. Notably, even in the Veterans (46-55 years) Men’s category, Kaduna players managed to clinch a commendable bronze medal.


Team Kaduna's impressive performance earned them the second position overall, with the top spot claimed by Abuja. This festival not only highlighted the remarkable talent within Nigeria's badminton community but also played a pivotal role in strengthening the bonds among the participating clubs and athletes.

Team Kaduna’s accomplishments stand as a beacon of inspiration for budding athletes and signal the potential for even greater achievements in the future.
