The chairman Board of Elders, All Nations Christian Assembly, Attah Jeremiah Salifu has advised Christians around the world to focus on the significance of the celebration of Christmas which is centered on spirituality, promise, and devotion, and how they could change their lives for the better.
Attah Jeremiah gave the advice shortly after the Christmas Service at the All Nations Christian Assembly to mark the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.
He noted that if believers realize Christ is the hope of their glory, the festival of Christmas should show them that a life full of knowledge and light can take over the darkness.
"Today is a Christmas day service and God brought all of us here to rejoice together and the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we thank you for giving us life to celebrate Christmas for 2023."
Elder Attah Jeremiah further enjoined believers around the world to bear in mind that the season is beyond holidaying and rejoicing, but ask them to consolidate on the fact that the birth of Jesus Christ is the birth of the light that darkness cannot comprehend.
“it is beyond rejoicing, it is beyond holidays, the birth of Jesus Christ is the birth of the light that’ll shine against every darkness in your life, where darkness cannot comprehend”
According to the chairman Board of Elders, the birth of Jesus Christ symbolizes love, peace, and humility for humankind, stressing that it is for this reason that Christ epitomizes self-sacrifice, good neighborliness, charity, and reconciliation among the human race.
He, therefore, emphasized that the Christmas season calls for sober reflection and reaffirmation of moral rectitude as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
"You see that the younger generation we have today, see the celebrations as having fun and most times end up pushing themselves into vices which will affect them now and in the future."
