The lone-goal victory over Kano Pillars Football Club at home in the week 15 fixture of the Nigerian Premier League was a remarkable turnaround that enable Niger Tornadoes Football Club to get out of the relegation waters. 

The Vice Chairman of Niger Tornadoes Football Club, Usman Garba told journalists after the match which was played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna

"Our win against Kano Pillars in the week 15 of the Nigeria Premier League was all that we needed to move away from the relegation zone, infarct we just needed even a draw in that game". 

"I am indeed glad we have won that match and it calls for celebrations, I am sure it would be a turning point for the club".

Speaking further, he said before the game, Tornadoes was in a precarious position, "so we had to change our tactics and approach to pick the needed three points."

Usman Garba said the team is out of the danger zone and now we will go back home and re-strategize. 

"As you can see, this game was better than our last game at home".

He also added that going forward, the team intends to fortify the squad.

"As we move forward we intend to fortify the team so that we stop struggling, we will pick more points away and ensure we don't drop points at home.
