"Kaduna Police Foil Kidnapping Attempt on Buruku to Kaduna Highway"

The Kaduna State Police Command has reported a successful intervention by officers from the 47PMF attached to Buruku Police Station in thwarting a kidnapping attempt by armed bandits along the Buruku to Kaduna Highway.

On March 21st, 2024, at approximately 1300hrs, the vigilant officers were conducting a routine crime prevention patrol along the highway when they spotted armed bandits near Corner Ugara. Upon being sighted, the armed bandits opened fire on the officers, initiating an exchange of gunfire.

Displaying remarkable courage and professionalism, the 47PMF personnel swiftly responded, returning fire and effectively neutralizing the threat posed by the armed bandits. The exchange forced the armed bandits to retreat into the nearby bush, sustaining fatal injuries in the process.

The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP ALI AUDU DABIGI, commended the bravery and swift action of the 47PMF personnel in averting what could have resulted in a tragic incident along the Buruku to Kaduna Highway.

CP Dabigi also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
