Kaduna SWAN Mourns YSFON Scribe, Abdulrazaq Usman

Kaduna, March 4, 2024 — The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna State Chapter, is in mourning following the sudden demise of Malam Abdulrazak Usman, the Secretary of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) in Kaduna State. The news has sent shockwaves through the sports community, leaving many devastated.

In an official statement released today, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, the Secretary of Kaduna SWAN, expressed the chapter's profound grief. "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Malam Abdulrazak Usman," said Shehu Abdullahi, Chairman of Kaduna SWAN. 

"His passing has created an irreplaceable void in grassroots sports development within our state."

Malam Abdulrazak Usman breathed his last in the early hours of Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) in Shika Zaria. 

"His contributions to sports development extended beyond Kaduna State, impacting the entire nation. As the National Organizing Secretary of YSFON, he touched countless lives and nurtured young talents."

SWAN extends heartfelt condolences to Malam Abdulrazak Usman's immediate family, the sports fraternity in Kaduna State, and the government and people of the state.

"May Almighty Allah grant him a place in Aljannah Firdaus, and may his indelible legacy continue to inspire generations to come."
