The atmosphere is electric as activities have resumed at the Kaduna State Model Science Secondary School, which is nearing completion and preparing for commissioning. The people of Pambegua, Kubau Local Government Area (LGA), and neighboring communities from Kauru LGA, Kaura, and Jere in Kagarko LGAs are overjoyed to see the rehabilitation of the school infrastructure finally coming to fruition.
This school is one of six model science secondary schools strategically located in each of the three Senatorial zones of Kaduna State, aimed at enhancing science education in the state. The commitment of Governor Uba Sani to complete these science schools demonstrates his unwavering resolve to prioritize educational development in the state.
The current leadership in the Kaduna State Ministry of Education deserves commendation for their supervisory role in ensuring that the rehabilitation and reconstruction meet specifications and global standards. These model schools are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including four best-in-class science laboratories, three workshops for vocational skills, and hostels for 160 students each.
The return of activities to the school has brought a sense of excitement and hope to the community. Parents, students, and teachers alike are eager to utilize the modern facilities and resources that the school has to offer. The completion of this project is a testament to the government's dedication to providing quality education and investing in the future of Kaduna State's youth.
