KADUNA – Governor Uba Sani has called on the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) to uphold its role as the intellectual powerhouse driving Northern Nigeria's progress. The Governor made the appeal during the 25th-anniversary celebration of the prominent socio-political organization held in Kaduna on Friday.
Represented by his Deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, Governor Sani emphasized the forum's continued critical importance to the region's future. "The ACF remains vital to the region’s stability, unity, and development," the Governor's address stated.
Highlighting a collaborative path forward, Governor Sani pledged his administration's commitment to working with the ACF, the Federal Government, sister states, development partners, and the private sector to build a "secure, inclusive and prosperous North."
The Governor pointed to his administration's signature "Kaduna Peace Model" as a blueprint for tackling the region's pervasive security challenges. He explained that the model, which synergizes inclusive governance, community engagement, and targeted infrastructure development, has already yielded positive results, leading to the return of calm in many previously vulnerable communities.
Beyond security, Governor Sani cataloged advancements in key sectors, asserting that the state is making significant strides. He reported ongoing efforts to revitalize hospitals, strengthen the educational system, and improve the balance between rural and urban development, with progress being recorded in agriculture, health, and infrastructure.
The event served to reinforce the strategic partnership between the Kaduna State Government and the ACF, positioning the forum as a key ally in the broader mission to address the multifaceted challenges facing Northern Nigeria.
