Officials from the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (KSPWA) conducted a monitoring visit to Pilgrims’ Enlightenment Centres in Igabi and Kaduna North Local Government Areas on Saturday, 24th January, 2026.
The visit, according to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Agency, Ibrahim Datti Makarfi was part of routine oversight as the mandatory programme enters its fourth week, aimed to assess the conduct, progress, and overall effectiveness of the training, popularly known as 'Bita'.
Led by the Agency’s Director of Enlightenment, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan, the team—which included a Staff Officer, Hajiya Rakiya S. Ladan, and the Public Relations Officer—inspected activities at the centres.
Addressing participants and facilitators, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan expressed satisfaction with the high level of participation, organization, and seriousness demonstrated by the intending pilgrims.
He urged the pilgrims to maintain their focus, attend all scheduled lectures, and actively seek clarification, especially on the rites of Hajj, relevant rules, and general conduct.
“The enlightenment programme is meticulously structured to prepare intending pilgrims spiritually, mentally, and practically for a successful and hitch-free Hajj exercise,” Alhaji Alhassan emphasized.
He reiterated that the agency remains committed to its mandate of ensuring all Kaduna State pilgrims are thoroughly informed, properly guided, and fully prepared for the spiritual journey.
The KSPWA, in a statement, reassured the public of its continued dedication to excellence in pilgrimage management, underscoring the 'Bita' programme as a cornerstone of its preparatory strategy.
The statewide enlightenment programme is scheduled to run for several weeks across all designated centres in the state.
