He added that several organizations representing people with special needs have been identified for similar support, and KADGIS is working through the list methodically to ensure fairness and transparency.
Dr. Bashir stated that no previous administration in Kaduna State has provided land to citizens at the scale and inclusivity demonstrated by Governor Uba Sani’s government. “This administration is committed to supporting all citizens, not just those who supported the campaign. Even those who didn’t are being assisted,” he noted.
The 30 beneficiaries, drawn from various parts of the state, are all individuals with special needs.
One of the recipients, Salisu Isa, a resident of Kaduna North Local Government Area and Deputy Chairman of the Kaduna Central Disabled Development Association, expressed deep gratitude to Governor Uba Sani and Dr. Bashir Garba Ibrahim. He praised the governor for his inclusive leadership and unwavering support for the disabled community.
“Governor Uba Sani has given us jobs, dignity, and now land. We’ve never had a governor who values us like he does,” Isa said. He added that for many of them, this is the first time they have ever owned land in their home state.
He assured that none of the beneficiaries would sell their plots, as they intend to build homes and settle with their families. Isa also extended special thanks to Dr. Bashir for advocating on behalf of their association, which led to the realization of this long-sought support.
“We are immensely grateful. We’ve been seeking this kind of help for a long time, and it has finally come to pass under this administration,” he concluded.
