Kada Warriors FC has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Alhaji Ibrahim Mainu Mustapha, describing his passing as a painful loss to Nigerian football.
In a condolence message, the club’s General Manager, Garba Lawal (MON), Kada Warriors sympathized with the management, players, staff and supporters of the Maiduguri-based club, as well as the government and people of Borno State.
The club noted that the demise of Alhaji Ibrahim Mainu Mustapha during the holy month of Ramadan has cast a shadow of grief across the football community, stressing that his contributions went beyond El-Kanemi Warriors to the overall development of the game in Nigeria.
According to the statement, the late chairman was widely respected for his passion, leadership and unwavering commitment to football administration, qualities that earned him admiration among colleagues and stakeholders in the sport.
“Kada Warriors FC shares in this moment of grief and recognizes the immense role played by the late chairman in nurturing football and inspiring young talents,” the statement read.
The club also offered prayers for the repose of his soul, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, associates and the entire El-Kanemi Warriors family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Kada Warriors FC reaffirmed its solidarity with El-Kanemi Warriors FC and the people of Borno State as they mourn the departed football administrator.
