EFS Digital Firm Distributes Relief to 150 Widows, Vulnerable Residents in Kaduna South LG

KADUNA, Nigeria — Digital business firm EFS has rolled out a major community outreach initiative in Kaduna South, providing food and material relief to hundreds of vulnerable local residents. The distribution specifically targeted less-privileged demographics within the community, including widows, widowers, and orphans.

Ms. Joy Destiny, the Junior Team Leader for EFS Kaduna South local government, stated that the charity event was organized by the company to demonstrate corporate social responsibility and offer direct support to vulnerable populations.

She explained that EFS operates as an online business platform with a structured tier system from X1 to X7, allowing registered individuals to generate income via mobile phones

According to Destiny, the Kaduna South local government branch has grown to encompass more than 3,000 registered members. She urged the beneficiaries to engage with the platform to improve their financial circumstances.

Providing further details on the scope of the event, EFS representative Deborah Tanko stated that the initiative successfully empowered 150 widows with food supplies. Tanko noted that the outreach aligns with the company's broader efforts to touch lives across Nigeria.

She also highlighted the company's business operations, explaining that EFS provides eco-friendly, electric-powered sewing and cutting machinery rather than petrol-dependent equipment.

Deborah called on the beneficiaries to maintain support for the firm as it continues its corporate social investments.

Expressing appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comrade JB Wordam, Chairman of the Coalition of Closed and Unpaid Textile Workers Association in Kaduna State, commended EFS for its intervention.

Wordam stated that the gesture directly relieved a substantial number of widows, widowers, and orphans within the textile workers' community who have faced prolonged economic hardships due to factory closures

He urged EFS management to sustain the program, expand its reach to other sectors, and collaborate with the Kaduna State Government under Governor Senator Uba Sani to maximize community development.
