Arewa Traders Association of Nigeria across the nineteen Northern Nigeria has insisted that Alhaji Muhammed Idris '86, is still the authentic chairman of the Association.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen in Kaduna, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Daudawa who debunked the purported removal of Alhaji Muhammed Idris '86 as the leader the Association, described as laughable.
He said those that are calling themselves as leaders of the Association are not members of the Arewa Traders Association, rather they belonged to a political group -Ahmed Tinubu/Shetima campaign organization.
Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Daudawa maintained that the tenure of the leader is four years and the present officials led by Alhaji Muhammed Idris '86, are currently two years old on the mantle of the leadership of the association.
He therefore called on all the members of the Association across the nineteen northern part of the country, including the FCT Abuja, not accord recognition to the Amy group parading themselves as their officials, rather they are trying to cause confusion in the association.
He called on the association agrief members to come forward and speak out while I advise those who followed them blindly to put in writing letter of apology to the Association.
"Similarly, the dissidents should stop parading themselves as members of the Association as they are fake leaders"he warned.
Ibrahim Shehu Daudawa assured the public that Alhaji Muhammed Idirs 86 is still the authentic chairman of Arewa Traders Association of the nineteen northern part of the country.
