The victory of the APC National Assembly candidates at the Court of Appeal, particularly, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, the Senator-elect representing Southern Plateau, and my friend and brother, Hon. Vincent Venman Bulus, the Member-elect representing Langtang North/South Federal Constituency, has been described as the reward for unwavering confidence in the judiciary to dispense justice without fear or favor.

A statement issued by the Member Representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency and Chairman Navy, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Ph.D., OON, said "This victory is made even sweeter by the barrage of sludge and name-calling our political adversaries have thrown at us for choosing the path of honor to reclaim what rightfully belongs to us.

"They failed to reckon that an election is a process which usually climaxes with the validation or nullification of the votes garnered at the polls, through adjudication by the petition tribunals".

The statement further reads;

"In our case, the judiciary was made a target of coordinated attack by PDP hirelings to intimidate them into kowtowing to their emotional blackmail and propaganda, but like the aphorism, the triumph of lies over truth is but for a moment; their lies and propaganda crashed like a pack of cards".

"Our confidence in the judiciary as the last hope of the common man is further strengthened by these landmark judgments".

Gagdi expressed confidence in a  resounding victory in the remaining appeal, concerning the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nentawe Yilwada Goshwe, and some House of Assembly candidates.

"We shall continue to be law-abiding and admonish our supporters to exercise restraint in their public conducts and utterances".

"It is my belief and prayer that as our new members brace up to face the challenges of their new responsibilities, God shall grant them the willpower to deliver on their campaign promises, as we shall close ranks to ensure that Plateau State optimally benefits from our romance with the government at the center, Gagdi said in the statement.
