Jos North Chairman Launches Character Development Initiative in Secondary Schools







The Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Honourable Barrister J.K. Christopher, has launched a new initiative aimed at promoting good character and moral values among students in government secondary schools across the local government area.


The programme, which is set to be implemented in all public secondary schools in Jos North, seeks to instill virtues such as integrity, discipline, respect, patriotism, hard work, and civic responsibility in students.


Speaking on the initiative, the council chairman said character development remains a critical component of nation-building and sustainable development. He noted that while academic achievement is important, students must also be equipped with strong moral values to become responsible citizens and future leaders.


According to him, the programme is designed to shape the attitudes and behaviour of young people, preparing them not only for educational success but also for positive contributions to society.
